Yesterday I received a letter from Friend Bill Martin in Venice, FL, who had just read my January 7 post in which I reported (with a smile) on his Christian nudist project Natura.  Since he wrote directly to me, not as a comment to the blog, I won't reprint his letter, but will report that he started Natura in part as a Christian social effort to reduce improper sexual activities, to lower teen pregnancies, to reduce sexually transmitted diseases, and to improve committed relationships such as marriage. His corporate structure is Quaker and the board of trustees is ecumenical and Christian, with representatives including Mennonite, Brethren, Latter-day Saints, and Jehovah's Witnesses; 10% of Natura's 15,000 members come from fundamentalist Baptist churches in the US. Natura's new website, at www.naturist-christians.org, is the largest website of its kind for naturist Christians, receiving 5 million visitors in a day.
